Three ways to install on Shopify

Choose the easiest method that fits your store theme and workflow. All methods amount to pasting the same embed code.

Custom Liquid (recommended)

Add a Custom Liquid block via the theme customizer and paste the embed code. No code editing required - the simplest path.

Edit theme code

Works with any theme

Paste the embed code in `layout/theme.liquid` just before the body closing tag. Best for older themes or when you need the widget on every page guaranteed.

Permission to edit your online store theme is required.

A monoshiri AI account

Create a widget and copy its embed code. You can start with a free account.

RECOMMENDED SETUP

Recommended setup (via Custom Liquid)

The fastest path on Online Store 2.0 themes. Everything happens in the Shopify admin.

Get the embed code from monoshiri AI

Open your widget in the monoshiri AI admin and copy the code from the "Embed code" section. Add your Shopify store URL (e.g. yourshop.myshopify.com, plus any custom domain) to the allowed domains.

Open the theme customizer

Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → "Customize". In the editor, select the page where you want the widget to appear (typically your homepage or a shared layout).

Add a Custom Liquid block and paste

Click "Add section" → "Custom Liquid", paste the embed code into the empty field, and save. It goes live on your store immediately.

Alternative: edit theme code directly

For older Online Store 1.0 themes, or when you want to guarantee the widget loads on every page:

1. Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → "Edit code"
2. Open layout/theme.liquid from the left sidebar
3. Paste the embed code just before the body closing tag and save

Verify the install

Visit your store and check that the chat button appears in the bottom right. If it doesn't appear, confirm the Custom Liquid block is enabled and that your Shopify store URL is included in the allowed domains in monoshiri AI.

Works on all plans from Basic and up (Basic / Shopify / Advanced / Plus). The Starter plan has limited theme editing, so some installation methods may not be available.
The Custom Liquid block in the theme customizer is recommended. Your settings persist across theme updates, and no code editing is required.
Yes, it works on Online Store 2.0 themes (Dawn, Refresh, etc.). You can install it easily via Sections Everywhere in the theme customizer.
Shopify does not allow external scripts on the standard checkout page (checkout.shopify.com). The widget shows on product pages, collection pages, the home page, and other customizable pages.
Yes. The monoshiri AI widget is multilingual, so it automatically answers in the visitor's language (Japanese / English / Korean / Chinese) on Shopify Markets stores.
Not yet (in preparation). For now, please install via the theme customizer or by pasting the embed code into theme.liquid.
